Which cookies we use
Our website uses two categories of cookies. The first are strictly necessary cookies, required for the site to function and always active (including the bmg_consent cookie that stores your consent choice). The second are tracking / external-media cookies, which are activated only with your explicit consent; these enable the AIS tracking map. Tracking cookies are off by default.
Third-party cookies
The AIS vessel-tracking feature uses an embedded map provided by a third party, MarineTraffic (Kpler). This embedded content loads only when you consent to the tracking / external-media category, and MarineTraffic may then set its own third-party cookies; technical data such as your IP address may also be transmitted to this provider abroad (see the Information Notice). Unless you consent, no MarineTraffic cookie is set and no network request is sent.
How to manage your cookie preferences
You can reopen and change your consent choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page. When you turn off the tracking category, or do not consent at all, the MarineTraffic map does not load and no embedded tracking cookie or iframe is created. You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings.
Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this cookie policy in response to changes in our services or in legal requirements. For significant changes, your consent choice may be reset and you may be asked to consent again. The current version is always published on this page.
